School Readiness Program
Early Start CT for 2025-2026
Early Start CT (ESCT) is a new state-funded early care and education program that’s launching in July 2025. It combines School Readiness with other funding sources. With this change, School Readiness will become part of Early Start CT. The name isn't the only thing changing. Though we anticipate having similar spaces as we had in 2025-2026, this has not yet been determined. Therefore, due to upcoming changes, please do NOT apply for 2025-2026 at this time. More information will be released when we know more! Thank you for your patience!

Through a School Readiness grant funded by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood, there are a number of spaces available in high-quality preschool programs at a reduced cost.
The 2024-2025 Colchester School Readiness Program is actively seeking:
· Children who are residents of Colchester;
· Families who want a 5 day a week program;
· Families who may find it difficult to pay for preschool
Spaces are available in the following programs through School Readiness at a reduced cost to families:
