School Readiness Council

The Colchester School Readiness Preschool Program provides affordable, high-quality early care and education services for eligible town residents in our two approved sites- CASTLE and the Colchester Early Childhood Program at Colchester Elementary School- through a grant from the State of Connecticut. Our School Readiness Council (SRC) is responsible for the implementation of the grant and includes members such as:

• First Selectman 

• Superintendent of Colchester Public Schools

• Parents and other interested community members

• Representatives from a range of programs that provide early education and child care

• Representatives from the community who provide services to children and their families- like librarians and healthcare providers
